Job Description
Responsible for all hot foods prepared in the Texas Roadhouse kitchen. Prepare roux, sauces and garnishes. Responsible for the maintenance of a sanitary kitchen workstation.
Job Tasks
Essential Function Statement(s)
· Meets all serving sizes, quality standards, department rules, and recipe policies and procedures.
· Set up the line; this includes all the "Hot Wells".
· Prepare fresh recipes every day.
· Proper understanding of all measurements and recipes.
· Follow proper cooling, cooking, and reheating procedures on all products.
· Ensures that all products are properly labeled and signed by a manager.
· Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation.
· Keeps the line and display stocked with the right levels of product.
· Awareness of the cost and waste of food.
· Select and use knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, chop, simmer, blend, garnish, maintain temperature, or produce food in the hot brewing station.
· Understands how to clean and disassemble ovens, stoves, range hoods, and prep areas.
· Communicates with the line.
· Take a proactive approach when preparing food. You don't wait until the line is completely out to make or heat an item.
· The ability to have fun at work.
