Job Description
A bartender ensures that all bar guests receive legendary food and service during their shift. They are also responsible for ensuring that all guests in the dining room receive their drinks from the bar in a timely manner.
Job Tasks
Essential Function Statement(s)
• Ensures that every guest receives legendary service during their dining experience.
• Use the POS (point of sale) system effectively and correctly.
• Follow all the steps of the service throughout the dining experience.
• Suggests specific foods and drinks through the use of the art of selling.
• Use glassware, garnishes and suitable recipes when preparing drinks, that is, use jiggers.
• Upholds and enforces state liquor laws.
• Shows concern about costs and inventory.
• Understands and effectively uses the first-time guest program.
• Possibility of transporting a tray and a bucket.
• Practice safety and sanitation at all times.
• Restock bar items and change kegs if needed during the shift.
• Ensures all fruits and garnishes are prepared and cut before the shift.
• Complete the appropriate opening and closing tasks depending on the unit.
• Manages all cash, credit, and gift cards received during the shift and properly accounts for all money at the end of each shift.
• Adheres to core values: passion, collaboration, integrity, and fun with purpose.
• Maintains proper etiquette with all staff members and guests.
• Demonstrates teamwork at all times.
• Participate in contests and online dances during each shift. You have the ability to have fun at work.
• Maintains adequate uniform and hygiene standards at all times.
